Blood donors saved my life

I decided to sit down and record a short message explaining why I am so passionate about blood donation.

Super short version? Blood donors saved my life.

Please give if you can.

If you are in the OKC area, I'm organizing a blood drive at my church this Sunday. You get 2 free zoo tickets! Comment for details.

Also, on August 3rd I'm eligible to give again (post-Honduras). I plan to go then and I'd love to take someone with me to donate!

Thanks for taking the time to listen.

Ann,

I really think it's great that you do all of this blood donation stuff. God truly can use the awful experiences of our lives for good if we just give him time, and I see that he is working through you to bless others here.

Thanks for sharing your touching story. I'm always disappointed that I'm not able to donate blood. It's such a simple and incredible gift.

Thank you for reminding us why we do this. I am an O-Neg, and a 'baby bleeder'. This means that my blood gets put in special baby packs. New born babies have a mixture of their own blood and their mothers, and they can only accept O-Neg. It's an extra incentive for me to donate.
